Back at weba – with Full Drive and Passion

Dietach - Sometimes life takes us on detours – only to lead us back to where we truly belong. That’s exactly what happened with Klaus Postlbauer. His story isn't just about tools and processes; it’s about passion, curiosity, and the courage to return. Klaus carved out his path – and it eventually led him right back to where it all began: at weba. His journey shows that experience and heart are a winning combination.

A Career Fueled by Passion

In 1988, Klaus began his apprenticeship at weba Werkzeugbau in Dietach – training to become a toolmaking technician. Then as now, it’s a sought-after trade that demands technical know-how, craftsmanship, and teamwork.

What convinced him to start his journey with weba back then? No question about it:

  • weba’s great reputation in the region
  • Excellent apprenticeship program
  • A short commute – basically a job on his doorstep
  • And of course, his love for all things technical, which sparked already in his youth

New Paths, New Experiences

After around 24 years at weba, Klaus was ready for new challenges. Between 2012 and 2024, he worked for another company in the industry, this time in injection molding. For seven years, he led the entire assembly department – an intense time where he learned a lot about processes, team leadership, and different corporate cultures. But the long daily commute became a burden. So when a new opportunity at weba opened up, Klaus didn’t hesitate: time to come back home!

Back to the Roots

For about a year now, Klaus has been fully back in the weba universe – as Process Manager at our Steyr site. A role tailor-made for him: he brings not only years of experience but also the same enthusiasm that drove him as an apprentice. His tasks? Coordination, optimization, critical thinking – and above all: making sure things run smoothly.

What Klaus especially values at weba:

  • Varied and interesting work
  • Working as part of a team
  • Shared leisure activities
  • The company’s flexibility
  • Technical challenges
  • A strong sense of intergenerational teamwork

More Than Just a Process Manager – The Person Behind the Role

Between Gardening, Music, and Family – The Personal Side of Klaus

Klaus is deeply rooted in Dietach – quite literally. Married, with two grown-up children, he finds his balance in his well-tended garden and music. He’s been a member of the local Dietach music band for years – and when it comes to ice stock sport, the whole family hits the ice together.

Why Toolmaking Means More Than Just Technology to Klaus

For Klaus, toolmaking isn’t just a technical environment – it’s his professional home. As Process Manager at weba Werkzeugbau, he experiences every day how much more there is to it: variety, creative thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and especially teamwork.

"Every tool is different – and that’s what makes it exciting. You contribute your own ideas, work things out together, and in the end, you hold something in your hands that really works."

What he enjoys most is the direct exchange with colleagues – from apprentices to old hands – and also the interaction with customers, where customized solutions and true technical understanding matter. For Klaus, it’s the perfect mix of technology, communication, and collaboration.

Advice from a Pro: What Young People Should Know

Klaus isn’t just a Process Manager – he’s someone who gladly passes on his experience. His advice to young people just starting out: a solid technical education is the foundation. If you show up motivated, that’s already half the battle – but don’t stay stuck. Keep learning, stay engaged, grow with the job – that’s the mindset.

As time goes on, it’s okay to take on responsibility and not give up just because things don’t work right away. Stick with it, keep trying, find solutions. And most importantly: be confident, stand by your ideas, and show what you can do.

Because one thing Klaus knows for sure: if you believe in yourself, you can make a difference.

Klaus’s Life Motto:

"Can’t be done? Doesn’t exist!" – a phrase that perfectly sums up his attitude. Whether it’s in toolmaking, in the garden, or out on the ice – Klaus doesn’t give up until it works.

Klaus Postlbauer shows how valuable experience, team spirit, and genuine passion for your profession can be. His return to weba is a strong statement – for great working conditions, respectful collaboration, and for the idea that sometimes, you need to come home to truly find your place.
